I have attracted my audience by the plug! It is an enticing offer, that makes the magazine worth buying for the target audience. Reader profiles told me on average only 52% of the readership would be in full time employment, so chances are people would want to pay the reasonable monthly £2.50 to be in for the chance of winning a ticket worth over £200. Also the wide variety of artists, including new and old is what music fans want. I wanted a bright colour, but not red because it's been seen loads of times before on previous music magazines so I went for coral. I think that even though it looks pinky, I don't think it puts men off. In the modern day things are much more equal and even though there would be a higher percentage of men reading my magazine, the fact that the colour coral is there would not put then off. It's also balanced with a really dark grey and off white. Which doesn't make the whole theme to brash or tacky, in my opinion. I also wanted a clean feeling to the magazine and not tacky. Which I think appeals to audiences today, where minimal fashion is appealing.
